Community Fare Jubilee Day

In September 2012, The Friends of the Biblical Garden and Moray Rock Garden Club took part in the Elgin Community Fare Jubilee Day. The voluntary groups explained what they did and how people can become involved. Children had a chance to plant pansies in a container to take home, free of charge. The stall had a wild life display with bird and butterfly feeders, hedgehog house with toy hedgehogs for the children to play with, information sheets, quiz and colouring in.  Moray Rock Garden Club had a beautiful display of alpines in containers that they had made from recycled polystyrene boxes.

Annual Burghead plant sale

The Friends of the Biblical Garden have attended the Annual Burghead plant sale for 7 years. This fundraising event is a way to meet people, chat about gardening and promote the Friends of the Garden. Moray College UHI Horticultural and Skills for Life Students are involved with growing and looking after the plants.
