Development of the Rock Garden
The garden has developed further with the building of a rock garden. Work on this started with ground clearing in 2007, to be followed by landscaping. The ground was then left to lie fallow for a year – but there was plenty of activity e.g. students dug soil profile pits and worked to eliminate problem weeds while Moray Rock Garden Group (who were invited to take part in the development) carried out research, started planning and sourced seeds/bulbs/plants. Seed sowing started in 2007 with the first planting out after the placing of the rock work in 2009. The steps were built in 2011.The Rock Garden depicts plants found in the wider mountainous regions of the Biblical Lands mentioned in the Bible in the account of Pentecost (Acts 2 v5-11)
