Summer volunteer evenings

While the horticulture students are on holiday over the summer, we will have the usual summer volunteer evenings to keep the Garden looking cared for. 

Tuesday evenings from 16th June until the end of August,

6 pm to 8 pm 

Everyone is welcome, whether you are a gardening expert or complete beginner !

The evening usually consists in light gardening such as weeding, edging and dead-heading.

We end every session with a warm drink and cake in the classroom !

 

 

 

 

 

Biblical Garden 30th Anniversary Celebration 

Saturday 12th September 2026 

1-4pm 

The Biblical Garden in Elgin is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.  To mark this milestone in the garden’s history, The Friends of the Biblical Garden will be holding a special event inviting the community to bring their picnic to enjoy with live music, garden games and light refreshments.   

As the garden is home to UHI Moray’s Horticulture Training Facilities, there will also be plant experts on hand to answer your horticultural questions, a plant exchange and vegetable surgery. 

At 2.30, Mrs Lucy Mackenzie, Vice Lord Lieutenant of Moray will plant a commemorative tree to signify the garden’s continued growth within the Moray community.
